- May 2008: Gotcha -- Brought Annalea home!!
- April 2008: Court Date
- March 2008 -- Final PM Approval
- December 2007: First trip to meet Annalea
- December 2007: Official registration of referral.
- June 2007-December 2007: The long wait for a referral
- June 2007: First Prime Minister Approval (approved to adopt from Armenia)
- April 2007: Dossier translation completed and submitted to Prime Minister
- March 2007: Submitted dossier documents to Hopscotch
- March 2007: Received USCIS Approval or I797C
- February 2007: Completed homestudy
- December 2006: Started homestudy process.
- November 2006: Submitted fingerprints to USCIS
- November 2006: Submitted I600-A to USCIS
- November 2006: Signed contract with Hopscotch
- November 2006: Decided to Adopt a child from Armenia

We have a bio son and an adopted son from Ethiopia (he's 5 and came home one year ago!)

Congrats on the adoption of your son!
When I adopted back in 2008, it was required that the adopting family have at least one parent with some Armenian ethnicity. However, that is no longer the case. Consequently, the wait to adopt a health child has increased from 1 to 3 years...maybe more at this point. In any event, if you are willing to wait, or if you would consider a special needs child, you should contact Hopscotch Adoptions.
